The Marshall+Sterling/USHJA 3'3" Jumping Seat Medal provides junior exhibitors with the opportunity to develop their equitation skills over a jumper-style course. The Marshall+Sterling/USHJA 3'3" Jumping Seat Medal is open to junior active members of US Equestrian and USHJA who have not reached their 18th birthday as of December 1 of the current competition year (per USEF rules). The medal class is judged on the rider's equitation style, technical merit, judgment and execution of an efficient, time saving pace and track.
Finals are hosted on either coast, and qualified riders may choose either location. This 3’3” equitation finals aims to help Junior riders gain experience in a format similar to that of the Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search Program. All horses entered in the finals must jog for soundness. The Finals, held at Capital Challenge Horse Show, consists of a jog and three phases held over three days: Phase I (Flat Phase), Phase II (Gymnastics Phase) and Phase III (Jumping Phase).
