The Palm Beach International Academy (PBIA) North American Junior Equitation Championships is open to junior riders. They compete over a course of at least 10 fences at 3’6”, including two combinations. The class is scored under the open numerical scoring system by a panel of three teams of two judges each. The top 20 riders return for a second round over a shortened course. Additional testing may be required, if any riders are within two points of the lead. The championship is an important precursor to and start of the indoor equitation final season.
