Mullally and Glasgow Continue CCHS Success
Top ribbons of two firsts over fences and second place under saddle earned Glasgow and Darby Mullally the championship in the Children’s Hunter 14 & Under Section B, sponsored by Mr. & Mrs. Gary Duffy and Little Brook Farms, Inc. as well as the Grand Children’s Hunter Championship sponsored by Mary Jane King.

For that win, they were presented with The Laura Pickett Memorial Trophy donated by Julie Karpan. Mullally was also given the Best Children’s Hunter Rider Award sponsored by Wild Sky Farm and The Nelson Family. The reserve champion in the division was Paisley Park, ridden by Riley Treace and owned by Tracy Treace. On her other horse Coconut Grove, Treace won the Marshall+Sterling Children’s Trip of the Show with a 90.
Mullally, who is 13 years old and hails from Traverse City, MI, has been riding Glasgow for a year, after a trial ride on the final day of the 2025 Capital Challenge Horse Show. “We had to move our flight back so we could try him, but it was definitely worth it,” she recalled.
Having moved up from Medium Pony Hunters, she had to learn to adjust her ride to the horse and bigger jumps. “He was my first horse, so it was a lot different,” she explained. “He was so sweet and so forgiving of all the mistakes I made.

“We didn't start off winning everything,” she continued. “It definitely took a while. It was definitely a lot of patience that I needed and that he taught me.”
Winning the grand championship is “the best feeling ever. He's so good and kind, and I love him so much. It means a lot, and I’m so grateful for him because he’s the best.”
Mullally made the most of her second to last show on Glasgow, having also won the $10,000 NAL Children Hunter Classic earlier this week, before he returns to his home. “After Washington, he's going to go teach his new little kid to do the Children’s Hunters,” she said.
